Job summary

To work in a new company based in the Kirkton Campus in Livingston that provides an environmentally orientated ‘Silverware Laundering Service’ to hospitality, care homes and the travel industry. The successful candidate will develop over a period of six months to a supervisory level after which a full- time employed position will be considered. Duties will include receiving deliveries, sorting cutlery, machine washing cutlery, machine polishing, flow packing, labelling job lots, assembling dispatch trolleys and occasional site visits to clients will our sales representative. Protective clothing will be provided for this position. 5 days per week.

Candidates will need to demonstrate:

Excellent time keeping.

Be able to work in a team .

Be of a personal character.

Excellent standards of hygiene.

Must have had and have proof of a minimum of first Covid vaccination.

Be aware of current government Covid rules and regulations.

Have a desire to progress.

May suit but not essential to candidates that have an interest in current and future eviromental issues.

Working pattern

Hours will be initially Monday-Friday 06.30-12.00 including a 30 minute break.

Successful applicants will be required to attend training sessions to familairise with time-keeping, attendance an sickeness reporting procedures.

As part of the business’s operation, staff members will be required to attend daily communications briefings to discuss previous day’s business, current day’s business and opportunities to improve working as a team and operational efficiency.

Over a six month period will receive operational and technical training accompanied by senior staff members for all operating systems and machinery plus mandatory training such as Health and Safety, Fire training, Covid Awareness. Ongoing personal development will be carried out in all the above areas over a period of six months with the view to achieving a supervisory role in a full- time employed position.
